Tod Perry is a writer who came up in radio at 97.1 KLSX “The FM Talk Station” in Los Angeles where he worked as a lackey from 2002 to 2007. During this time, he cut his teeth behind the mic on 103.7 Free FM San Diego’s “Low Budget Radio.”

Tod has a long history of hosting and producing podcasts, including “Low Budget FM,” “Far Out!” “The Original Kings of Podcasting,” “The Brian Whitman Podcast,” “Upworthy Weekly,” “PR 360,” and “LA’s Own Marineland.”  

He also hosts a comedy show on Patreon, “Alison and Tod: After Hours,” featuring Alison Rosen, host of the super-popular podcast “Alison Rosen is Your New Best Friend,” and former co-host of “The Adam Carolla Show.”

Currently, Tod is a Deputy Editor for Upworthy, one of the world’s most popular trending content sites. He covers human-interest stories and has had the opportunity to interview a wide range of legendary figures, such as Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees, primatologist Jane Goodall, actor Seth Rogen, musician and film director RZA, author Deepak Chopra, and Canada’s former “First Lady,” Sophie Trudeau.

Tod became interested in the Tao after reading “The Tao of Pooh” at the tender age of twenty and has come back to its teachings throughout his life. In 2005 and 2006, he studied at the Great Tao Foundation of America Taoist Temple in El Monte, California, where he attended classes taught by Derek Lin.

When he’s not producing podcasts, he enjoys playing guitar, golfing, cooking, and rooting for the Las Vegas Raiders. Tod was born and raised in the Los Angeles area and currently lives in Long Beach, California.
